Join Allied Universal as an armed Access Control Officer at a commercial real estate location, where you will monitor entry points, verify credentials, conduct routine patrols, and remain visible to help deter security-related incidents. This role blends customer service, communication, and technology use while supporting a caring team that values agility, reliability, innovation, and integrity.

Pay Rate: $27.50 / Hour

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to residents, guests, tenants, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and/or visitor authorization, maintain visitor logs, and communicate with property management or authorized contacts regarding access requests.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting security-related activity and reporting concerns according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the property, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter to help identify unusual activity, access concerns, and/or maintenance issues.
• Support daily property operations by assisting with deliveries, directing foot and vehicle traffic, and providing information to occupants and visitors in a professional manner.

Minimum Requirements:

• Minimum of 2 years of corrections, law enforcement, military experience or degree in criminal justice.
• Possess an armed guard card or license.
• Guard card is required.
• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
