Medical Office Specialist – HCA Florida Heart Institute Responsibilities Work at the reception desk, answer phones, greet and communicate with patients and providers. Schedule, cancel, and reschedule patient appointments. Check in patients and properly document registration. Verify insurance and patient demographics. File and retrieve medical records/files. Qualifications 1-3 years of experience in a medical office setting (preferred). High School Diploma or GED (required). Experience using an EHR system (highly preferred).
