The Undersea Technology Portfolio, within SPA's Sea, Land, & Air Division, conducts rigorous and objective analyses to enable the Navy and other DoD organizations to make decisions, plans, and strategies to deliver emerging technologies and warfighting capabilities. We support clients across the undersea, naval special warfare, and expeditionary warfare enterprises, including those within resourcing and requirements, acquisition, and science and technology.

SPA has a requirement for a Senior Acquisition Analyst. This role is envisioned as a limited part-time position.

Responsibilities

The candidate will provide subject matter expertise on an as-needed basis to SPA's clients within the undersea warfare enterprise and related areas of naval warfare. Specific duties will vary depending on client needs, but are expected to include tasks such as:

• The candidate will provide strategic advisory support to senior Navy and Joint clients, including providing analysis and expertise in areas such as acquisition, requirements development, concept development, technology transition, operations analysis, and roadmap development.
• The candidate should provide expertise on the technical, operational, and programmatic elements of undersea warfare technologies to senior DoW leadership (flag officer/Senior Executive Service level) and program managers to inform strategies and decision-making.
• The candidate will develop unclassified and classified products such as white papers, briefings, reports, and other materials to effectively capture key insights and findings and communicate them effectively to target audiences.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

• A significant record of professional accomplishment supporting the US Navy within OPNAV, NAVSEA, and related organizations, including at least 20 years of relevant experience within the fields of naval analysis; requirements development; acquisition; planning, programming, budgeting, and execution (PPBE); and/or naval operations
• Demonstrated experience working directly with flag/SES leadership on the accomplishment of major strategies and initiatives
• Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant technical or managerial discipline
• A minimum TOP SECRET clearance and the ability to maintain it throughout employment

Desired Qualifications:

• Experience as a Navy flag officer, Senior Executive, major program manager, or other comparable roles
• Level III DAWIA certification within Program Management, Engineering, or other relevant topics
• Previous service as a submarine officer

Pay Range Information

Salaries are commensurate with experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. Virginia, Pay Transparency Salary range: USD $150.00/Hr. - USD $200.00/Hr.
