Registered Nurse - Cardiac Telemetry

Location: Richmond, VA

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule: Night shift, 19:00 - 07:00, with every third Friday and Saturday scheduled, plus an additional Friday or Saturday every schedule cycle. Weekend assistance required for select holidays.

Job Description: We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our Cardiac Telemetry Unit. The ideal candidate will possess strong telemetry experience and the ability to read EKGs effectively. This fast-paced unit handles multiple admissions, discharges, transfers, and procedures, making adaptability and problem-solving skills essential.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor and interpret cardiac telemetry and EKG readings.
• Coordinate patient care and priorities in response to changing conditions.
• Notify physicians promptly about changes in patient status.
• Assist in patient admissions, discharges, and transfers.
• Participate in the execution of medical procedures under supervision.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Valid RN license.
• Certification in BLS & ACLS.
• Telemetry experience and proficiency in reading EKGs.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
