Description

SUMMARY: To assist all waitpersons and other food and beverage personnel in serving meals and drinks.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Clear and set tables as per Resort standards.
• Support waitstaff in providing prompt and attentive food and beverage service.
• Help maintain adequate supplies for all requests from guests.
• Assist in providing a clean, safe, and sanitary dining room for guests.
• Assist all other personnel in setting and clearing rooms for upcoming events.
• Ensure all services to guests are provided in a highly professional and efficient manner with strong attention to detail.
• Support safe work habits and contributes to a safe working environment.
• Consistently come to work regularly and on time.
• Follow directions, get along with co-workers and supervisors, treat co-workers, supervisors and guests with respect and courtesy, contributes to a positive and rewarding team environment and refrains from abusive, insubordinate and/or violent behavior.
• Perform other related duties as requested by the supervisor.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

• Must provide prompt and cordial service to all guests.
• Working knowledge of, or the ability to learn, point-of-sale computer systems.
• Must be reliable, responsible and able to work well under pressure.
• Ability to understand and carry out written and verbal instructions.
• Apply critical thinking to solve problems in standardized situations.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Must be able to work independently.
• Must meet legal age requirements for the position.

• Equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Prior resort and/or hospitality experience preferred.
• High school diploma or equal to a GED.
