Description
SUMMARY: To assist all waitpersons and other food and beverage personnel in serving meals and drinks.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Clear and set tables as per Resort standards.
- Support waitstaff in providing prompt and attentive food and beverage service.
- Help maintain adequate supplies for all requests from guests.
- Assist in providing a clean, safe, and sanitary dining room for guests.
- Assist all other personnel in setting and clearing rooms for upcoming events.
- Ensure all services to guests are provided in a highly professional and efficient manner with strong attention to detail.
- Support safe work habits and contributes to a safe working environment.
- Consistently come to work regularly and on time.
- Follow directions, get along with co-workers and supervisors, treat co-workers, supervisors and guests with respect and courtesy, contributes to a positive and rewarding team environment and refrains from abusive, insubordinate and/or violent behavior.
- Perform other related duties as requested by the supervisor.
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
- Must provide prompt and cordial service to all guests.
- Working knowledge of, or the ability to learn, point-of-sale computer systems.
- Must be reliable, responsible and able to work well under pressure.
- Ability to understand and carry out written and verbal instructions.
- Apply critical thinking to solve problems in standardized situations.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Must be able to work independently.
- Must meet legal age requirements for the position.
- Equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Prior resort and/or hospitality experience preferred.
- High school diploma or equal to a GED.
