Job Description
Snow College is seeking a professional for Financial & Administrative Services in the Controllers Office. The position involves reviewing fixed asset purchases, processing fixed asset transactions, and performing fixed asset analyses. Responsibilities include tracking, tagging, inventorying, and auditing capital assets to ensure compliance with College, USHE, state, and federal requirements. The role also involves overseeing the College's non-capital asset process, including equipment tracking, record maintenance, and policy compliance. Additional duties include performing depreciation calculations, capitalizing fixed asset costs, and properly recording asset retirements and disposals. The position requires performing and coordinating regular physical inventories of capital assets and reconciling inventory records. It also involves reconciling fixed asset accounts and supporting schedules, serving on the College's Centralized Equipment Committee, assisting with the preparation and submission of reports and other information to governmental agencies and governing bodies, assisting with developing and maintaining the general ledger accounting system, preparing year-end financial reports, footnotes, audit schedules, and external audit requests, developing and implementing policies, procedures, and process maps related to fixed assets and equipment management, assisting with institutional service journal vouchers, and performing other accounting duties as efficiencies are created.
Qualifications
Bachelors Degree preferred in Accounting, Finance, or Business Related field.
