Registered Nurse - Med/Surg Night Shift

This is a 13-week contract position.

Night shift, 3x12 hours (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM), with weekends as needed, likely every other weekend.

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for a Med/Surg unit with a night shift schedule. The position involves caring for various adult and geriatric patients, including those recovering from cardiac events, stroke, and post-operative procedures. The role may require floating to different Med/Surg floors as well as potential rehabilitation and assisting in OB units.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality care for patients with diverse medical conditions, especially cardiac and stroke patients.
• Monitor patient progress and respond to changes in patient health status.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed and necessary.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Maintain adherence to safety and hygiene protocols.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in a Med/Surg environment.
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications required.
• Experience with the EPIC charting system is required.
• Active RN license with no hits accepted.
• Must be able to float to all Med/Surg floors and potentially to rehab and OB.
