Overview

Our client is seeking a Network Engineer II to support a growing portfolio of facility buildouts and network deployment initiatives across the organization. This is a highly visible, hands-on role focused on designing, deploying, configuring, and troubleshooting network infrastructure for new site implementations.

The ideal candidate is a seasoned networking professional with strong experience in enterprise network environments who can quickly contribute with minimal ramp-up. This role offers the opportunity to work on large-scale network deployments while partnering closely with infrastructure and operations teams to ensure new locations are secure, reliable, and aligned with company standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Configure, deploy, and support network infrastructure for new facility and site deployments.
• Install and maintain routing, switching, wireless, firewall, and SD-WAN solutions.
• Troubleshoot and resolve network performance, connectivity, and configuration issues.
• Support network expansion initiatives and infrastructure upgrades.
• Ensure network deployments meet security, reliability, and operational standards.
• Collaborate with internal teams and business stakeholders throughout project lifecycles.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, network diagrams, and deployment procedures.
• Travel to company locations as needed to support implementation projects.

Required Qualifications

• 3+ years of enterprise network engineering experience.
• Strong hands-on experience with Cisco routers and switches .
• Solid understanding of:
  • TCP/IP
  • VLANs
  • Routing & Switching
  • DHCP
  • DNS
  • Network connectivity and troubleshooting
• Experience configuring and supporting:
  • Firewalls (Palo Alto preferred)
  • Wireless Access Points
  • SD-WAN technologies
• Proven ability to independently diagnose and resolve complex network issues.
• Experience supporting network implementations, deployments, or site rollouts.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and documentation skills.
• Ability and willingness to travel as business needs require.

Preferred Experience

• Palo Alto firewall administration

• CCNP certification or equivalent networking expertise

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is a hands-on Network Engineer who thrives in deployment-focused environments and enjoys building network infrastructure from the ground up. They possess strong Cisco networking fundamentals, have experience supporting enterprise-scale environments, and are comfortable traveling to ensure successful site launches. This individual is proactive, technically strong, and capable of working independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.

Experience Level: Intermediate (Level II) Network Engineer.

This is a Contract position based out of Menasha, WI.

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $40.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
