Details Level II NICU setting Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM-7:30 AM) Patient ratio of 1:2 May be required to float to Baby Nurse as needed Epic charting system used Requirements Active NJ or Compact RN license required at time of consideration Minimum 2 years of NICU experience preferred Prior travel nursing experience required Certifications: BLS and NRP or NRP Advanced required; STABLE certification preferred Epic EMR experience required Skilled in IV therapy, arterial line management, central line care, and administration of blood/blood products Experience with UAC/UVC lines and neonatal dosage calculations Competency in ventilator management (AC/PC/SIMV/CPAP/BIPAP/PEEP) and respiratory care including HFNC and Bubble CPAP Experience caring for neonates across gestational ranges including 34 weeks Skilled in APGAR scoring, thermoregulation, and neonatal sepsis workups Additional Information Responsibilities include attending high-risk deliveries and providing developmental care Provides patient and family teaching, including breastfeeding support and handling of breast milk Manages feedings via bottle, breast, and gavage as well as oral/nasogastric/nasojejunal tube placement Performs phototherapy and blood glucose monitoring for endocrine/metabolic care Assists with procedures such as lumbar punctures and manages neonatal abstinence syndrome and seizure disorders Travel pairs or groups will not be considered for this position Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be eligible Former staff members must wait at least 1 year before returning as a traveler No more than 3 days of RTO will be auto-approved, and no RTO is permitted during the first week of orientation American Traveler Job ID P-734200.
