RPA Developer

Job Summary Our client is seeking an Automation Engineer to join their AI Engineering and Automation Center of Excellence. This role is primarily focused on UiPath development and Robotic Process Automation (RPA), with opportunities to work across emerging automation technologies and AI-assisted solutions. The ideal candidate is a hands-on automation developer with strong production UiPath experience who is interested in expanding into modern automation, AI, and agentic automation technologies. This position is W-2 only. We do not work with third-party firms or C2C arrangements for this role. Core Responsibilities Design, develop, test, deploy, and support production-grade automations primarily using UiPath across multiple business lines and regional operations Develop complex automation solutions incorporating multi-system integrations, exception handling, retry logic, logging, and recovery patterns Troubleshoot and resolve production automation failures while collaborating with analysts and architects to minimize downtime Extend RPA solutions beyond the user interface through Python, PowerShell, REST APIs, webhooks, and other modern integration technologies Integrate AI services into automation workflows, including document understanding, classification, and language model capabilities Build solutions using Microsoft Power Platform, including Power Automate and Power Apps, with automation back-end integrations Contribute to reusable automation components, templates, integration patterns, code reviews, logging standards, audit trails, and compliance-ready documentation Required Skills/Experience (Must-Haves) 3+ years of hands-on RPA development experience, with UiPath as the primary automation platform Current UiPath Certified Professional - Automation Developer Associate certification Demonstrated experience developing and supporting production-grade UiPath bots, including exception handling, logging, error recovery, and multi-system integrations Strong working knowledge of SQL for data manipulation and validation within automation workflows Experience working in an Agile development environment, including standups, sprint planning, and retrospectives Strong software development and troubleshooting skills with the ability to support automation solutions in a production environment Preferred Skills/Experience (Nice-to-Haves) Python experience for scripting, data manipulation, automation, and API integration PowerShell experience for orchestration, environment management, and integrations outside native RPA activities Hands-on experience with REST APIs, webhooks, and modern integration patterns Experience with Microsoft Power Platform, particularly Power Automate and Power Apps Experience using AI-assisted development tools such as Anthropic Claude, UiPath Autopilot, or GitHub Copilot Exposure to agentic automation, document understanding, intelligent document processing, process mining, or task mining Experience with additional RPA platforms such as Automation Anywhere, along with Git, CI/CD pipelines, Jira, or Azure DevOps Key Competencies & Behaviors Technical Problem Solving: Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities with a focus on developing reliable, scalable automation solutions Production Mindset: Demonstrates ownership of production-grade automations, including monitoring, error recovery, logging, and continuous improvement Adaptability & Innovation: Interested in evolving automation technologies, AI-assisted development, and emerging agentic automation patterns Collaboration: Works effectively with developers, analysts, architects, and cross-functional business teams in an Agile environment Continuous Learning: Demonstrates a willingness to expand beyond core UiPath development into APIs, scripting, AI, and other automation technologies Work Environment Location: United States Onsite, Hybrid or Remote: Remote Compensation & Benefits Pay Range: The approximate pay range for this position is between $52.00 and $75.00. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to background, knowledge, skills, and location.
