We are currently looking for an Import Operations Agent to join our growing team. This role is ideal for someone with freight forwarding experience who is looking to continue building their career in international logistics within a fast-paced and collaborative environment. What You’ll Do Process import shipments and customs entries accurately and efficiently Handle international shipments from start to finish (A–Z) Coordinate with overseas partners and clients to ensure on-time, compliant deliveries Maintain daily communication and updates for internal teams and customers Support compliance efforts with Customs, Bonded Warehouse, and CTPAT requirements Prepare quotes, manage documentation, and maintain strong vendor relationships Manage high volumes of emails and phone calls with professionalism and urgency Deliver strong customer service and contribute to a positive team culture Ensure accurate and timely shipment documentation and updates Monitor shipments and proactively resolve transit issues What We’re Looking For Minimum 1 year of experience in freight forwarding imports Strong understanding of customs regulations, tariffs, and classifications Proficiency in CargoWise, Microsoft Office, and Microsoft Teams Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills A desire to learn, grow, and take on new challenges Strong computer skills and comfort working with digital systems, email-based workflows, and AI-assisted tools to improve efficiency and support daily operations Ability to manage high-volume communication (emails and phone calls) with professionalism and urgency Strong customer service skills with a solutions-focused mindset Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment Team-oriented mindset with a proactive approach Must be authorized to work in the United States; visa sponsorship and relocation assistance are not available for this role Must be able to work on-site in either Hanover, MD (Baltimore area) or Los Angeles, CA Compensation & Benefits Salary: $50,000–$65,000 annually (based on experience) Comprehensive Benefits Package: Medical, Dental, Vision Paid Time Off: 2 weeks PTO + 5 Personal Days + 3 volunteer days Hybrid Flexibility: 5 work-from-home days per month 529E College Savings Program & Retirement Plan $20,000 Term Life Insurance Mental Health & Identity Theft Protection Plans Priority Worldwide is an equal opportunity employee committed to merit-based hiring, diversity, and creating a fair, inclusive workplace where every employee can thrive.
