Dental Hygienist

Duties: - Perform dental hygiene procedures, including cleaning teeth, removing plaque and tartar, and applying fluoride treatments - Take and develop dental x-rays - Conduct oral cancer screenings - Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and provide personalized recommendations for at-home care - Administer local anesthesia and nitrous oxide as needed - Assist the dentist during procedures by handing them instruments and materials - Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including medical history and treatment plans - Follow strict infection control protocols to ensure a safe and sterile environment ```Qualifications``` - Valid state dental hygiene license in Nebraska or Iowa or both - Associate's degree in dental hygiene (Bachelor's degree preferred) - CPR certification - Proficiency in Dentrix or similar dental software - Knowledge of medical coding and billing practices - Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and patient privacy laws - Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written - Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask Note: Experience with pediatric patients, aseptic technique, and assisting the dentist is a plus.
