Director of Pharmacy – Acute Care Hospital

Location: Sidney, OH

Specialty Medical Staffing is currently seeking an experienced Director of Pharmacy for an acute care hospital in Sidney, OH. This is an excellent opportunity for a hospital pharmacy leader to oversee a well-established department encompassing inpatient pharmacy services and an anticoagulation clinic.

This position offers a consistent weekday schedule with no weekend or on-call requirements , an experienced pharmacy team, and dedicated onsite training to support a smooth transition into the role.

Assignment Details

Start: September 14, 2026
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM–4:30 PM
Weekend/On-Call: None

Requirements

• Active Ohio Pharmacist license in good standing
• Hospital pharmacy and leadership experience preferred
• Strong knowledge of pharmacy operations, regulatory compliance, and medication safety
• Experience overseeing pharmacy staff, scheduling, and training
• Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills
• EPIC experience preferred but not required

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day pharmacy operations and departmental workflow
• Manage pharmacist, technician, and anticoagulation clinic staffing and scheduling
• Lead Pharmacy & Therapeutics Committee activities and participate in hospital committees
• Manage drug shortages and support pharmacy purchasing and sourcing initiatives
• Oversee diversion monitoring and related data reporting
• Coordinate pharmacy-related EPIC updates and drug library management
• Support quality, safety, budgeting, and regulatory initiatives
• Provide leadership for pharmacy technology and operational improvement projects
• Oversee training and competencies related to sterile compounding
