Hands-on construction position assisting a crew with the installation of underground and aerial fiber-optic cable. Primarily works outdoors and helps ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and according to customer requirements.

Full Time- M-F 8:00am-5:00pm (OT as needed)

Most important requirements:

• Valid driver’s license and clean Motor Vehicle Record
• High school diploma or GED
• Experience using hand tools and power tools and working safely around heavy equipment
• Ability to read construction prints, site plans, and area maps
• Willingness to perform physically demanding outdoor work in various weather conditions
• Ability to lift or move up to 75 pounds
• Must be open to on-call work and possible overnight/out-of-town travel

Primary responsibilities:

• Assist with digging, pulling, and hanging fiber cable, duct, and strand
• Support both underground and aerial fiber construction
• Set up work zones and traffic-control equipment, including cones, signs, barricades, and lights
• Direct vehicle and pedestrian traffic through construction zones
• Inspect and help maintain vehicles, tools, and equipment
• Restore job sites after construction is completed
• Communicate project status to the foreman and management
• Follow all company and OSHA safety requirements
• Willingness to travel, work outside, and take on-call assignments
