Veterinary Technician - Ophthalmology

Veterinary Ophthalmology Technician Beaverton, Oregon, United States The Animal Eye Doctor, a Thrive Pet Healthcare partner, is looking for a full‑time Veterinary Technician to join our team to provide ophthalmic care for pets. About the Role You will provide comprehensive patient care including outpatient treatments, laboratory testing, surgical assistance, and admission and discharge support. Responsibilities include animal handling, pre‑ and post‑operative care, medication preparation, client communication, creation of financial estimates, and accurate entry of service charges into the client processing database. Qualifications Previous veterinary technician/assistant experience required. Licensed Technician preferred, but not required. Proficient in IV catheter placement, blood work, and IV, IM, and SQ injections. Proficient in monitoring anesthesia and use of various monitoring equipment. Team player, self‑motivated, and eager to learn. Enjoys a challenging, fast‑paced environment. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
