About the Position

TravelNurseSource is working with Malone Healthcare to find a qualified Telemetry RN in Alexandria, Louisiana, 71301!

• Provide direct patient care on a Med-Surg/Oncology unit with a 6:1 patient ratio across 31 beds
• Perform thorough physical assessments and maintain accurate documentation using the Meditech system
• Care for acute care patients including stroke patients, applying knowledge of core measures and prevention of HACs and HAIs
• Communicate effectively using mobile communication tools and utilize computers and scanners available in every room
• Float to other Med-Surg and Telemetry units as needed per facility floating policy
• Adhere to A.I.D.E.T. behaviors and demonstrate well-developed critical thinking and time management skills

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• NIHSS certification required
• Minimum 1 year of acute care experience
• Strong physical assessment, documentation, and critical thinking skills
• Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible

• Chemotherapy administration experience is a plus
• Familiarity with Meditech documentation system
• Experience with stroke patient care and knowledge of NIHSS protocols
