Tech - Cath Lab/EP

Job Description

Job Summary:
Provides specialized imaging and diagnostic support in the Cath Lab/EP department by assisting physicians with invasive and non-invasive cardiovascular and pulmonary procedures. Operates advanced imaging and physiologic equipment, ensuring accurate test results and patient safety.

Responsibilities:

• Assist physicians in diagnosing and treating heart, lung, and blood vessel disorders through invasive and non-invasive procedures.
• Operate and modify technical settings on specialized equipment, including C-Arms and angiographic injectors.
• Monitor, record, and evaluate patient vital signs throughout procedures to ensure safety and accuracy.
• Maintain strict sterile techniques, adhere to infection control protocols, and ensure radiation safety standards are met.
• Troubleshoot and perform preventive maintenance on cardiology and radiology equipment, reporting malfunctions as needed.
• Support the administration of contrast media and assist during complex procedures with precision and care.

Qualifications:

• Hold an Associate's Degree or equivalent education and related experience, with preference for those with catheterization experience.
• ARRT-R (Radiography) certification and valid RT licensure in HI and CA required.
• Current BLS/CPR certification from an approved vendor required; ACLS certification preferred.
• Demonstrate competency in operating cardiovascular and physiologic diagnostic equipment.
• Possess excellent aseptic technique and infection control practices.
• Strong ability to troubleshoot equipment and perform preventive maintenance.
