Plasma Center Nurse (LPN)

Medical Support Specialist (Plasma Center Nurse) BioLife Plasma Services, a subsidiary of Takeda Pharmaceutical Company Ltd, is seeking a Medical Support Specialist to support plasma center operations. The role reports to the Plasma Center Manager and works under the guidance of the Center Physician for medical issues. Responsibilities Determine donor eligibility to donate plasma, including informed consent, medical history interview, acceptance requirements, physical examination, blood testing, and review of Serological Protein Electrophoresis (SPE). Manage donor adverse events and review laboratory test results. Notify donors of unsuitable test results and evaluate donor reactions per SOPs. Follow SOPs for medical emergencies, including development of center physician standing orders and donor transport to emergency care. Provide center‑level support of environmental, health, and safety (EHS) and refer to Center Physician or Medical Affairs as needed. Support Hepatitis B and Seasonal Flu vaccination programs for employees. Manage employee incidents and determine need for further evaluation by occupational health/ER. Act as Pandemic Coordinator when authorized by EHS, supporting investigations of pandemic threats. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent, or graduate level nursing program with state requirements. Current licensed or certified in the state of assignment (LPN or LVN). Current CPR and AED certification. Fulfill state requirements for basic IV therapy. Completed FDA approved training requirements for BioLife Medical Support Specialist. At least two years of clinical or hospital setting experience. Benefits and Compensation Hourly wage range $24.32–$33.44 (US FL Orlando).
