OB Registered Nurse (RN)
An opportunity is available for an experienced OB Registered Nurse to join a dynamic healthcare team. This position requires a strong background in obstetrics and the ability to provide excellent patient care during labor and delivery.
Shift Details
- Full-time position for days
- Shift times: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM
- 36 hours per week
- Duration: 8 weeks
- Holiday coverage required
Certifications Required
- AHA BLS
- ACLS
- NRP
- Fetal Heart Monitoring (FHM)
Key Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care in the delivery room, including receiving newborns.
- Monitor fetal heart rates and make assessments as needed.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure the best outcomes for patients and their families.
- If census is low, the healthcare provider may be floated to MedSurg.
Qualifications
- Must have delivery room experience.
- Previous MedSurg experience is required, as nurses may take patients on occasion.
- Familiarity with Cerner EMR is preferred.
Work Environment
The OB unit operates on a routine schedule without on-call responsibilities for the nursing staff.
