Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Access Control Coordinator in New York NY you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities and more. As an Access Control Officer at a utilities location you will help maintain a secure environment by monitoring entry points verifying credentials managing badge access and documenting security-related activity. You will provide exceptional customer service and clear communication while remaining visible to help deter incidents. What Youll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees contractors visitors and utility personnel by carrying out access control procedures site-specific policies and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Monitor entry and exit points verify identification and authorization issue visitor credentials and maintain access-related records in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents access concerns alarms and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and document activities as required.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned utility facilities buildings gates and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized access and identify security-related concerns.
• Assist with controlling vehicle and pedestrian access to operational areas while following established procedures for restricted locations and authorized deliveries.

Minimum Requirements:

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control/badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
