As a swim instructor or aide you develop important skills such as communication, leadership and responsibility that will serve you for a lifetime! What is needed for this job as our Swim Instructor (Or Instructor Aide): Age 15+ Experience with kids and passionate about teaching children to swim Ability to pass American Red Cross CPR Certification Ability to complete and pass our in-water skills assessment The responsibilities we will trust you with as our Swim Instructor (Or Instructor Aide): Provide a safe environment that allows members and participants to learn to swim Encourage and support students to provide an enjoyable aquatics experience Evaluate swimming skills; complete progress reports for each session; complete communications for parents Participate as a part of the aquatics staff team in providing a safe and enjoyable environment Attend staff meetings and trainings as required What you can expect: Support from an amazing team Opportunities to learn & grow at the YMCA Being a part of a non-profit organization that works to make the community stronger YMCA is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
