Veterinary Assistant/Receptionist

Job Description Carlsbad Animal Clinic - Carlsbad, NM Part-Time | Potential for Full-Time Growth $15-$20/hour DOE Carlsbad Animal Clinic is seeking an experienced veterinary professional to join our growing single-doctor practice. We are looking for someone with veterinary technician and/or assistant experience who is comfortable helping in both clinical and client service roles. Responsibilities Include: * Assisting with exams, treatments, surgery, and patient care * Restraining patients, collecting lab samples, and performing basic technical skills * Answering phones, scheduling appointments, and client communication * Checking patients in/out and maintaining accurate medical records * Supporting daily hospital operations and cleanliness * Educate clients on medications, preventive care, and treatment plans * Process invoices and payments Qualifications: * Veterinary clinic experience required * Veterinary technician/assistant experience strongly preferred * Strong communication and multitasking skills * Compassionate, dependable, and team-oriented * AVImark experience is a plus This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys variety, wants to grow with a practice, and values teamwork and quality patient care.
