Responsibilities

The George Washington University Hospital (GW Hospital) is a 395-bed tertiary care, academic medical center located in downtown Washington, DC, next to the Foggy Bottom metro. GW Hospital serves a diverse group of patients — from local residents to our nation’s leaders. This expertise includes cardiac, cancer, neurosciences, women’s health, trauma, and advanced surgery including robotic and minimally invasive surgery.

POSITION SUMMARY

Provides exceptional customer service while making hand-crafted, quality beverages. Take orders and make coffee, tea and other drinks to customer specifications. Operate cash register and credit card machines. Fields customer concerns or questions while working to maintain good customer relations and speedy delivery of beverages.

Qualifications

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

Education/Qualification High School diploma, GED or equivalent experience. Prior experience preferred. Knowledge of food preparation, sanitation, standards and inventory control preferred. Completion and certification in the Starbucks Barista Basics Training required within 30 days of start date. Skills Presents self in a professional manner to others and acts with honesty and integrity. Ability to be positive and communicate with co-workers, staff from other departments and customers with professionalism and respect. Ability to learn quickly, think on your feet and handle multiple duties. Ability to use a computer.
