Job DescriptionAs the Quality Engineering Leader for Digital Enablement within our Commercial Insurance division, you will own the domain functionality and strategic direction for quality engineering from design to deployment. Partnering closely with our tech leads, designers, and product managers, you'll deliver quality engineering solutions that meet the highest standards of quality and performance. This role is suitable for someone who has rich experience in Insurance Tech and understands the domain to build Insurance use cases.In this role, you will:Translate product requirements into clean, maintainable technical solutionsDesign and develop RESTful APIs, integrate with databases, and ensure backend performance and securityParticipate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and technical design sessionsMonitor application performance and troubleshoot production issues as neededManage entire team, sprint planning, tech estimates and delivery.Act as a technical escalation point and provide hands-on problem-solving supportTake ownership of code quality and ensure adherence to clean code principlesQualificationsBachelor's and/or Master's degree in software engineering, computer science, or information systemsMinimum of 12 years of software engineering experience with deep expertise core programming languages (e.g., Python, Java, .NET, JavaScript, or TypeScript)Deep understanding of Insurance domainSolid understanding of API Designs, API Security and OOPS ConceptsExperience building and maintaining full-stack applicationsProficient with relational databases (SQL Server) and basic caching strategiesCloud experience, preferably Azure (App Services, Azure SQL, Functions, Key Vault)Strong ownership and accountability mindsetExcellent collaboration and communication skillsExperience with leveraging AI capabilities, tools, and practices as a function of current and/or past roles preferredThe pay range for the role is $160,000 to $190,000. The specific offer will depend on an applicant's skills and other factors. This role may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program.
