Schedule PRN Shift Day (United States of America) Location 2000 Fowler Grove Blvd, Winter Garden, Florida 34787 Job Description Shift: Per Diem (As needed) Responsibilities: Document and charge for procedures accurately and completely. Collaborate and work in teams to assist with patient flow. Practice standard precautions and enforce safety regulations according to hospital policies. Interpret evaluations and test results to determine appropriate treatment plans in consultation with interdisciplinary healthcare team. Respond to all Code Blue emergencies immediately, providing CPR according to the American Heart Association and performing other duties as directed. Perform respiratory and oxygen delivery therapies and make recommendations to the most efficient delivery method per protocol. Obtain, analyze and report findings of arterial blood gases and co‑oximetry; perform quality controls as needed. Perform airway maintenance including proper use of manual resuscitators, oral and nasal pharyngeal airway insertion, and airway suctioning. Initiate, maintain, transport and monitor mechanical ventilators to include basic conventional modes of ventilation per policy and procedure. Utilize patient assessment skills, protocols, chart review and collaborate with multidisciplinary team to determine efficacy of therapy in a cost‑ and time‑efficient manner, making appropriate recommendations and changes per department protocol. Other duties as assigned. Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities Patient care skills to care for neonatal, infant, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patient populations per hospital needs. Education Associate (Required) Field Of Study Respiratory Therapy or Cardiopulmonary Science Work Experience 1+ critical care experience (Preferred) Additional Information Additional licensure or certification requirements may apply depending on the specific unit or state in which this position is located.
