Senior Area Lead (Store #8)

Summary The Senior Area Lead is responsible for the complete operations of a specific group (multiple) of departments, while also providing additional support to the store as a Key Holder; provide leadership and direction for sales associates within the area-flexing workload to maintain each area as business needs dictate; report to and receive direction from store management. Responsibilities
- Responsible for daily accountability of sales performance in multiple departments.
- Provides vision and delegation of duties to associates; flexes associates workload based on the needs of the business.
- Monitors multiple departments for attractive merchandise displays, proper signage, promotional setup, timely price changes and overall cleanliness.
- Trains, develops and motivates associates to maximize performance.
- Works 2 nights per week as Manager on Duty closer. Directs and oversees store staff, performs closing duties, and ensures safety of staff and premises.
- In the event of management absence (vacations, illness...) assumes increased role as needed for store coverage.
- Upholds company directives, policies and procedures.
- Other duties as assigned by management.
- Physical demands of the job: bending, stooping, climbing, lifting (up to 25 lbs.) and standing for long periods of time.
- 1+ years of retail experience (supervision) preferred.
- High School Diploma or GED preferred.
