The company is targeting $50 billion in annual revenue within the decade through accretive acquisitions and organic growth.Job ResponsibilitiesPerform preventative maintenance (PM) services on trailers, including inspections, adjustments, repairs, and routine servicingDiagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and ABS system issuesRepair, replace, and adjust trailer components, including brakes, air systems, suspensions, lighting systems, and related equipmentInspect trailers to identify maintenance needs and ensure safe operationRespond to breakdowns and urgent repair requests to support fleet operationsConduct DOT inspections and ensure trailers meet federal, state, and company safety requirementsMaintain compliance with all applicable regulations and company standardsIdentify and report safety concerns, equipment issues, and operational risksFollow all company safety policies, procedures, and PPE requirementsMaintain accurate maintenance, inspection, and repair recordsComplete work orders and service documentation accurately and on timeCommunicate repair status, equipment concerns, and maintenance needs to managementSupport fleet maintenance planning and scheduling effortsMaintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, including service bays, tools, equipment, and staging areasAssist with shop organization, waste disposal, and general housekeeping activitiesEnsure tools and equipment are properly maintained and storedWork closely with drivers, operations personnel, and management to minimize downtime and support fleet readinessAssist with troubleshooting and technical support as neededSupport training and knowledge-sharing efforts within the maintenance teamPerform additional duties as assignedQualificationsStrong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skillsAbility to diagnose and repair trailer systems and componentsStrong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanshipAbility to work independently with minimal supervisionStrong communication and teamwork skillsCommitment to maintaining a safe work environmentExperience performing trailer maintenance and repairKnowledge of DOT inspection requirements and transportation regulationsExperience with braking systems, air systems, suspensions, lighting systems, and ABS diagnosticsFamiliarity with hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systemsWelding and fabrication experience is a plusAbility to provide and maintain basic hand tools; specialty diagnostic tools preferredWork is performed in shop, yard, and fleet maintenance environmentsExposure to machinery, moving equipment, noise, dust, grease, and varying weather conditionsAbility to stand, walk, bend, kneel, crawl, climb, and work in physically demanding conditionsAbility to lift, carry, push, and pull heavy components and materialsAbility to work safely around vehicles, trailers, and maintenance equipmentMay require overtime, emergency repairs, and on-call support based on business needsBenefits for union-represented roles are determined by the applicable collective bargaining agreement and may differ from standard company benefits.QXO is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
