Digital Content Coordinator

Position: Digital Content Coordinator Summary The Digital Content Coordinator is responsible for creating, maintaining, and distributing digital content that supports VisitBN's marketing and communications efforts. This position manages day-to-day content across VisitBN's social media channels, website, email communications, and other digital platforms. The position creates social media graphics and multimedia content, captures photography and video at destination events and experiences, and supports the execution of VisitBN's marketing campaigns through digital content production and distribution. Working within VisitBN's established brand standards and marketing priorities, the Digital Content Coordinator ensures VisitBN's digital presence is current, engaging, consistent, and reflective of the Bloomington-Normal visitor experience. Supervision The Digital Content Coordinator reports directly to the Marketing and Communications Director. Qualifications Required Excellent verbal and written communication skills Strong and creative writing skills Knowledge of relevant social media platforms, digital platforms, content management systems, and Microsoft and Google applications Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign Demonstrated ability to create engaging digital content across multiple platforms Demonstrated ability to organize, prioritize, and manage multiple projects simultaneously Qualifications Preferred One to three years of experience in social media, digital content creation, marketing, communications, or a related field Photography and videography experience Experience with website content management systems Experience with email marketing platforms Understanding of social media and digital analytics Demonstrated ability to work as a team member Essential Position Functions Create, schedule, and publish content across VisitBN's social media channels, including Facebook, Instagram, and other emerging platforms. Create social media graphics and digital content using established VisitBN brand standards and templates. Maintain VisitBN's social media content calendar and coordinate content with staff, community partners, and event organizers. Capture photography and short-form video at community events, attractions, businesses, and destination experiences for use across VisitBN's digital channels. Maintain and update visitbn.org, including event listings, destination content, blog content, and landing pages. Develop and execute electronic newsletters and emails, as needed for targeted markets, including leisure and niche markets - sports, conferences, and group travel. Support the execution of VisitBN marketing campaigns by adapting approved campaign concepts and creative assets for digital channels. Organize and maintain digital photography, video, and other marketing assets. Provide digital performance reports and recommendations to the Marketing and Communications Director. Assist with special projects, campaigns, organizational initiatives, and other duties as required to support the overall goals of VisitBN. Psychological Considerations Must be able to interact with everyone who enters the VisitBN offices to resolve problems fairly and with judgment aligned with the mission of VisitBN. Must be able to organize, plan, and implement multiple projects simultaneously and complete by their respective deadlines. Must be able to be an initiative-taker who can work with little supervision. Physiological Considerations Must be able to endure rigorous schedules during peak programming seasons. Must be able to work some evenings and weekends. Must be able to lift supplies and equipment (up to 50 pounds) when needed. Environmental Considerations Ability to be exposed to all weather conditions including rain, wind, snow, and extreme temperatures. Must have a valid driver's license and be able to operate a motor vehicle. Must have reliable transportation. Must be able to act safely and always follow safety regulations. #J-18808-Ljbffr
