Job Profile The bank is hiring a Mortgage Loan Originator who will be responsible for originating residential mortgage loans by developing client relationships, assessing borrower needs, and guiding applicants through the loan process. Plays a vital part in maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction and ensuring compliance with all internal policies and applicable regulations. Education Level High School Diploma or equivalent College coursework or degree (preferred) Work Experience Previous experience in mortgage lending or financial services (preferred) License/Certification Valid NMLS license as required by state and federal regulations Duties/Responsibilities Collaborate with internal departments to ensure smooth loan closings Conduct borrower interviews to gather required financial information and assess eligibility Educate clients on available loan products, terms, and procedures Ensure timely follow-up with clients, processors, and underwriters Evaluate the applicant’s financial documents to determine appropriate loan programs Maintain accurate records in the loan origination system Maintain knowledge of current lending policies, compliance standards, and industry trends Meet established productivity and quality goals Originate mortgage loans in accordance with company guidelines and lending regulations Submit complete loan applications to the processing team for approval and underwriting Skills/Knowledge/Abilities Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize in a fast-paced environment Familiarity with loan origination systems and Microsoft Office tools Strong interpersonal and communication skills Working Conditions Follows financial regulations Handles paperwork and approvals May work flexible or long hours Meets clients to discuss loans Works in offices or remotely Employer’s Statement Texana Bank is an Equal Opportunity Employer. #J-18808-Ljbffr
