Per Diem Acute Care Physical Therapist

Physical Therapist – Providence St. Mary Medical Center, Apple Valley, CA Per diem, 10‑hour day shifts. Provide medically prescribed physical therapy programs in the hospital to restore function and prevent disability following disease or injury. Assist patients to reach maximum performance and integrate into society, while performing administrative duties and participating in department quality improvement, infection control, and safety programs. Responsibilities Evaluate, plan, direct, and administer physical therapy programs for patients. Assist patients in achieving functional goals. Supervise Physical Therapy Assistants, orient staff and students, and act as supervisor in absences. Participate in performance improvement, infection control, safety, and education initiatives. Required Qualifications Graduate of an American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) accredited program. Foreign trained applicants must complete successful entry‑level educational equivalency review. California Physical Therapist license obtained upon hire. National Provider BLS certification (American Heart Association) obtained upon hire. Preferred Qualifications Experience in acute care, skilled nursing facility, outpatient, or sub‑acute care settings.
