The Role: As an RN on 3 Central Acute General Medicine, you will care for adult patients with a wide range of acute medical conditions. This is a unit where clinical breadth meets supportive structure, allowing you to expand your expertise while working within a highly collaborative care team. This environment is designed to support nurses with intentional staffing and leadership presence, including a 4:1 patient ratio and a dedicated, floating Charge Nurse every shift to ensure guidance, throughput support, and real-time problem-solving. In this role, you will:

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to adults with conditions including: endocrine disorders, infectious diseases, renal conditions, select cardiology cases
• Perform ongoing patient assessments, care planning, and clinical interventions in a moderate-to-high acuity setting
• Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary teams including physicians, pharmacists, case managers, and specialists
• Educate patients and families on disease management, treatment plans, and discharge readiness
• Utilize evidence-based practice to guide care decisions and improve outcomes

• Monitor evolving patient conditions and adjust care plans accordingly
• Coordinate with providers on rounds and interdisciplinary discussions
• Administer medications and treatments with precision and clinical judgment

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• Education: Graduate of an accredited nursing program required. Bachelor of Science in Nursing required within 5 years of hire.
• Experience: 1 year of relevant experience.
• Licensure: Licensed to Practice as a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Virginia. American Heart Association (AHA) Health Care Provider BLS certification required.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• Job requires standing for prolonged periods, frequently traveling, bending/stooping. Proficient communicative, auditory and visual skills; Attention to detail and ability to write legibly; Ability to lift/push/pull 20 - 50lbs. May be exposed to chemicals, blood/body fluids and infectious disease.

The pay range for this role is $39.90 - $53.00 hourly. Individual compensation will be determined by the selected candidate's qualifications, previous work experience, and/or education.
