Step into a rewarding contract role providing dedicated support to high school students with complex special needs. This full-time opportunity runs from mid-August 2026 through June 2027, with a critical focus on ensuring student safety and success in a highly structured behavioral setting. You’ll work 37.5 hours a week (Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM – 3:00 PM); the first week consists of a mandatory orientation, essential for preparing you to make a meaningful difference from day one.

What We’re Looking For:

• Minimum of one year’s experience as a paraprofessional in a special education classroom (PreK–12), specifically supporting students with autism and behavioral needs
• Comfortable handling high-intensity special needs, including aggressive, self-injurious behaviors, and providing hands-on assistance (toileting, feeding, transfers, etc.)
• Meet at least one of the Pennsylvania paraprofessional requirements (48+ college credits, associate degree or above, or qualifying state credentials), or willing to earn certification within 60 days of starting
• Able to pass all state-mandated clearances by the specified deadline
• Reliable attendance and the ability to work the scheduled hours with no conflicting commitments
• Reside within a 35-minute drive of the assigned site and have reliable transportation
• Prepared to attend the full required orientation before starting the assignment

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver close, proactive support throughout the school day
• Implement safety interventions and follow structured behavioral plans
• Collaborate with classroom and school staff to help students access their education
• Maintain awareness of evolving student and school needs; adapt when necessary
