Join Our Caring CommunityThe Receptionist is responsible for the front desk operations of a healthcare facility. Your role will involve greeting patients, scheduling appointments, handling inquiries, and maintaining patient records. The Receptionist ensures a smooth and welcoming experience for patients and supports the medical team with several administrative tasks. Typically work on routine and patterned assignments.The Receptionist welcomes patients and offers administrative support within a physician practice or center. This may include the following responsibilities:Greet Patients: Welcome patients and visitors, both in person and over the phone.Schedule Appointments: Manage appointment calendars, schedule patient visits, and coordinate with medical staff to improve schedules.Patient Records: Maintain and update patient records, ensuring accuracy. Work in Electronic Medical Record (EMR) and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems.Billing and Payments: Ensure patient accounts are updated correctly. May include collecting copay at time of visit.Inquiries and Communication: Answer incoming calls, respond to patient inquiries, and provide general information.Office Management: Ensure the reception area is tidy, sanitized, and well-stocked with necessary materials.Administrative Support: Help with other administrative tasks, such as ordering supplies, managing office inventory, and sending courier packages.The supervisor limits decisions to defined parameters around work expectations, quality standards, priorities and timing, and oversees work and within established practices and guidelines with minimal opportunity for deviation.Use Your Skills to Make an ImpactRequired Qualifications:High School Diploma or General Education Development1 year or more of experience working in a Healthcare setting preferred, but will consider candidates with a Customer Service background in Retail, Hospitality, and Call Centers.Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on improving patient experiences and careExcellent customer service and phone etiquetteTeam playerHighly organizedProficient in MS Suite including Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, PowerPoint softwarePreferred Qualifications:Value-based care model experienceKnowledge of Medical TerminologyExperience with EMR Systems (Electronic Medical Records)Bilingual in English and SpanishAdditional Information:The company considers this role patient-facing and runs the Tuberculosis (TB) screening program. If selected for this role, you will be required to be screened for TB.Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40Pay Range: $38,000 - $45,800 per yearThis job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan.
