Experienced Registered Nurse

Off work early every Friday! 35-40 hours per week. Primary work location will be Sandy Springs, 30342. Occasional travel to satellite offices in Cumming and Canton. Job Requirements: Must be an Active Certified Registered Nurse in good standing with the State of GA Must have at least 2 years' experience working as an RN in a hospital or critical care environment BLS certification Strong Medical Terminology Excellent organizational skills Excellent communication skills (speaking and writing) Ability to work independently and make decisions Ability to work with both adult and pediatric patients Knowledge of Epic and/or Nextech EMR software a plus! Due to our partnership with CHOA, proof of current flu shot will be required upon hire. Job Duties Include: Assuring quality care by adhering to standards set by the physicians Working up new patients Preoperative and postoperative education History and physicals, paperwork and examination Taking photographs Assisting physicians with examinations and treatments Completing proposed surgery forms/orders Setting up and assisting in minor surgical procedures and clean-ups Seeing nurse patients independently Treatment of patients involving suture and staple removal, drains, filling tissue expanders, changing dressings, aspirations, etc. Phoning in prescriptions and/or e‑prescribing Providing emotional support to patients and families Maintenance of machinery Any other duties assigned by Nurse Managers or Physicians Must be able to be standing or walking 6-9 hours/day Must be able to lift/carry 0-20 lbs frequently and 20+ lbs occasionally Competitive hourly rate, depending on experience, plus discretionary bonus.
