Staff accountant

Rutherford County: Immediate opening for a Staff Accountant in Murfreesboro, TN. Avoid the Nashville traffic! As a key member of the finance and accounting team, you will be assist with the financial reporting of our Corporate Accounting Department and assist with coordinating month and year-end close... as well as work on key initiatives relating to accounting policy and critical processes. We are looking for new accounting professionals with 1+ years of corporate accounting experience and an Associate's degree in Accounting is required. (Bachelor's degree preferred.) The ability to meet deadlines, work in a complex accounting and finance environment, and offer solid Excel skills is a must.


salary: $55,000 - $60,000 per year
shift: First
work hours: 8 AM - 5 PM

Responsibilities

• Reconcile various GL accounts, A/R, and bank deposits
• Post accounts payable and perform month end reconciliations
• Review and reconcile A/R
• Assist with updating inventory spreadsheets
• Set up new vendors; provide support to accounting assistants when needed
• Assist with month end and year end close
