Registered Nurse - Operating Room

Job Description

Job Summary:
The OR RN Circulator provides perioperative nursing care to surgical patients, ensuring safety and quality throughout the operative process. They collaborate with the surgical team to facilitate efficient and effective surgeries while maintaining compliance with facility standards.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patients' condition prior to surgery and prepare them for operating room procedures.
• Coordinate and support surgical teams during procedures, ensuring aseptic techniques are maintained.
• Monitor patient vital signs and respond to any intraoperative complications promptly.
• Document all perioperative activities accurately in accordance with hospital policies.
• Assist with setting up surgical equipment and ensuring all instruments are sterile and ready for use.
• Comply with all safety protocols, including ACLS, BLS, and hospital-specific standards.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid Ohio license or compact license in hand at the time of application.
• Possess a minimum of 18 months of OR RN experience, preferably in a perioperative setting.
• Maintain current ACLS and BLS certifications.
• Demonstrate proficiency in ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate assessments.
• Provide a reference from a manager, supervisor, or director within the past 12 months.
• Be nicotine-free, with a negative drug screen within the past 12 months.
