• Supervise daily construction activities and coordinate subcontractors, crews, and vendors.
• Plan and manage the construction schedule , including sequencing work and resolving delays.
• Coordinate subcontractors so trades can work efficiently without getting in each other’s way.
• Inspect work for quality and make sure construction follows drawings, specifications, and applicable codes.
• Enforce safety procedures and conduct or participate in safety meetings and inspections.
• Read and interpret construction documents , including plans, specifications, RFIs, and shop drawings.
• Coordinate inspections with architects, engineers, building officials, and other stakeholders.
• Track materials and equipment , making sure the site has what it needs when it needs it.
• Identify and resolve field problems , including conflicts between drawings, trades, materials, or existing conditions.
• Document progress , including daily reports, photographs, manpower, deliveries, inspections, and issues.
• Communicate with the project manager about schedule, manpower, quality, safety, costs, and potential problems.
• Lead job-site meetings and communicate expectations to subcontractors and field personnel.
• Ensure the project is completed and turned over properly , including punch-list work and final inspections.
