Assistant Professor of Higher Education & Organizational Leadership #26-100203 St. Louis, Missouri, United States Job Description Maryville University of Saint Louis is seeking a dynamic colleague with professional leadership and teaching experience to join our expanding faculty team. The successful candidate demonstrates a commitment to teaching excellence, teamwork, and exceptional service to students and the University. This 11-month, 30-credit-hour tenure-track Assistant Professor position offers an opportunity to teach online courses in innovative, cohort-based, practitioner-oriented, doctoral (Ed.D.) programs in Higher Education Leadership and Organizational Leadership. Key Responsibilities Responsibilities include teaching, supervising, and advising doctoral research; actively participating in the program's growth; and serving within the University. This is a remote position that requires on-campus attendance twice a year for commencements and program and school work days. The doctoral program is year-round, and summer teaching is expected as part of the 30-credit-hour, 11-month contract. The successful candidate must be committed to fostering an inclusive environment for faculty, staff, and students. Minimum Qualifications Earned a doctorate in leadership, administration, or a related field Minimum of 3 years of experience in a professional leadership role Experience advising diverse students and/or teaching diverse students Preferred Qualifications Demonstrated experience teaching graduate students Effective online teaching and experience advising doctoral applied research projects School Category College of Arts and Sciences Additional Applicant Information Special Instructions to Applicants: An offer of employment is contingent upon successful completion of a background screening.
