Student Support Associate

Old Dominion University is hiring a Student Support Associate. This role involves acting as a frontline representative in a centralized support center, providing high-quality customer service to students and families by resolving inquiries across multiple channels and supporting various functional areas such as financial aid and registrar services. The position demands strong communication, problem-solving skills, and the ability to upscale complex issues appropriately while maintaining a student-centered approach. Highlights Provide customer service support to current students and families across financial aid, registrar, student accounts, and military benefits. Resolve student inquiries via in-person, phone, email, chat, and virtual channels. Use Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems, contact center technology, web conferencing, and Google & MS Office products. Maintain accurate documentation and data entry with strong attention to detail. Work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed. Considerable experience required in customer service and/or contact center environments. Prefer experience or knowledge in higher education student services, enrollment management, or related functional areas. Salary range between $38,000 and $40,000 annually.
