If you want to work on a team where your production and manufacturing decisions directly impact global security, this is it.We are looking for a Manufacturing Specialist, Drone Program to join our rapidly growing team in Columbus, OH. In this role, you will be responsible for the assembly, repair, and testing of advanced drone systems while supporting new product introductions and process improvements. You will work closely with manufacturing and support engineers, draft and update technical documentation, and build fixtures to ensure the highest quality and reliability of our drone hardware. This will require expertise in mechanical troubleshooting, precision machining, blueprint reading, and hands-on maintenance and repair. This position is permanently based in Ashville, OH, and requires candidates to temporarily relocate for a comprehensive 3-month training program: 1 month in Santa Ana, CA, followed by 2 months (approximately) in Atlanta, GA. Your recruiter will discuss the logistics of this program with you in detail during the hiring process.The Quality Inspector will support the Manufacturing/Production teams, and be responsible for learning and executing detailed inspection processes necessary to ensure a quality product in a timely manner. Some of the daily duties will include inspecting incoming materials, equipment, and products to ensure quality specifications are met. Additionally, you'll investigate/troubleshoot product and production issues, take corrective action as well as implement standards/specifications/processes cross-functionally with Quality Teams.Required QualificationsExperience with calibrated equipment (calipers, micrometers, CMM etc.)Experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings (wire diagrams, work instructions, CAD)Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) knowledge, understanding dimension and tolerancingExperience with inspection of machined parts and mechanical assembliesExperience with inspection of Electrical and Electronic Components (Power Supplies, PCBs, wire-harnesses)Experience in a facility with AS9100, ISO9001, IATF 16949 or similar QMS standardExperience with validation and testing assemblies and their componentsExperience with communicating with suppliers and cross functional teamsU.S. Person Status is required as this position needs to access controlled dataPreferred QualificationsTechnical or Associates degree in related quality /mechanical/aerospace engineering field3+ years experience in a quality assurance or inspection role in a manufacturing/production settingIPC-A-610 or IPC-A-620 CertificationBasic knowledge using various measuring tools and hand tools (e.g. tape measure, caliper, micrometer, drivers etc.)Experience with Manufacturing processes and their related systems (Jira, MES, ERP, Teamcenter, CAD)Knowledge of First Article Inspection requirements and processesHighly motivated team player who is willing to support a fast paced team environmentDetail oriented self starter with minimal oversight - strong ability to communicate with different cross functional teamsAble to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance
