Description Leidos is looking for a Senior ServiceNow Developer to support and lead ongoing ServiceNow continuous improvement projects of the existing ServiceNow implementation for an enterprise. The successful candidate will adapt to client needs, support the implementation of the ServiceNow roadmap, and collaborate with a diverse workforce within a matrix environment. The role also handles requirements gathering from external stakeholders and works with the team to build upon the existing ServiceNow foundation. Remote . Candidates must be willing to work East-Coast core work hours, be located in the Washington, DC area and may be required to work onsite at times. Qualifications Bachelor's degree and 8+ years of proven experience as a ServiceNow Developer with a strong understanding of the platform's architecture and capabilities. Additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree. At least 6 years of experience with design, development, and support. At least 4 years of experience leading software development projects. Hands‑on ServiceNow development experience across multiple modules, especially HAM, CMDB, CSM, and HRSD. Familiarity with ITSM, ITOM, and ITAM. Initiative, problem‑solving, and self‑starter qualities. Positive attitude, willingness to learn, and team orientation. Exceptional communication and organizational skills. Experience supporting development in an Agile framework; participation in daily scrums and updating ServiceNow stories. Hands‑on experience with custom‑scoped application development. What Sets You Apart Experience integrating ServiceNow with external systems. Familiarity with organizational change management. Ability to support multiple projects simultaneously. Experience with Okta and SSO technologies. Ability to obtain a public trust clearance prior to the start date. Active ServiceNow Certified Systems Administrator (CSA) Certification or the ability to obtain it within 3 months. You Might Also Have ServiceNow Certified Application Developer Certification. ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist Certification. ITIL v3 Foundations Certification. Project management experience. Responsibilities Technical Lead Exhibit exceptional customer service and teamwork, collaborating effectively with clients and vendors to achieve mission success. Effectively convey key ideas and gather actionable feedback from cross‑functional team members and stakeholders. Identify risks and challenges, perform qualitative and quantitative analyses, evaluate alternatives, and provide well‑informed recommendations. Lead the development review process and provide technical guidance and support to junior and mid‑level staff. Gather and document business and system requirements. Support the development of use cases and testing procedures, ensuring product functionality, debugging, and testing are completed prior to production deployment. Coordinate and lead project team meetings with technical staff and other key stakeholders. Develop implementation plans, SOP, and system architecture for all project deployments. Assist in the architecture, design, management, and implementation of ServiceNow. Prepare IT project status reports and presentations by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends. Maintain the project documentation repository. Experience with AI tools such as Now Assist, third‑party LLM APIs, and automatic test frameworks. Development Demonstrated experience working on large‑scale projects in diverse team environments with a focus on ServiceNow tools and techniques. Design, configure, and implement environments for applications, engineer suitable release management procedures, and provide production support. Design and create Business Rules, UI Policies, UI Actions, Client Scripts, and ACLs, including advanced scripting. Design and develop automation workflows, perform unit tests, and conduct reviews to ensure coding standards and best practices for platform performance and overall quality. Experience using Flow Designer. Integration experience. Collaborate with the team on software design to provide accurate work estimates and implement new features, including interfaces, contracts with storage systems, and data transformation. Liaise with other development, infrastructure, and operations teams. Ensure all security policies and practices are adhered to as part of development. Ensure all development is created in alignment with ServiceNow Technical Best Practices. Pay Range $107,900.00 – $195,050.00. The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and is not a guarantee of compensation.
