Pharmacy Cashier – Rosewood Family Health Center, Portland, OR We are seeking a dedicated Pharmacy Cashier to support patient access to medications and pharmacy services. The role involves clerical duties, customer service, and medication support to ensure accurate, timely, and safe pharmacy operations. Employment Details Employment type: Part-time (non-exempt) No relocation required Position Highlights $19.91–$24.38 per hour, DOE, with potential for higher pay for experienced candidates What You’ll Do Answer phone calls, field non-professional inquiries, and transfer calls to appropriate staff Enter patient data and billing information (patient name, insurance, allergies, doctor, diagnosis) Deliver prescriptions, verify correct medication, collect payment and signature Coordinate prescription counseling with the pharmacist as needed Support inventory management by restocking medications, checking expiration dates, and verifying incoming orders Maintain awareness of stock levels and submit orders to the wholesaler based on minimum inventory levels Verify product orders against invoices and purchase orders, label items, and shelf them Monitor expiration dates on drugs in stock Return or discard dispensed prescriptions not picked up, recording reverse billing information per state regulations Perform clinical responsibilities in alignment with The Joint Commission (TJC), Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA), and YVFWC requirements Perform other duties as assigned Qualifications High School Diploma or GED Pre-employment drug screen required after conditional offer Preferred: Bilingual (English/Spanish) level 9 Strong verbal and listening communication skills with a customer‑oriented approach Knowledge of medical terminology and pharmacy workflows Administrative skills (answering phones, filing, faxing, scanning, copying) Teamwork ability in a fast‑paced environment Organizational skills while managing multiple tasks with attention to detail Basic proficiency with computer systems, including Microsoft Office and at least one pharmacy software system Mission Statement "Together we transform our communities through compassionate, individualized care, eliminating barriers to health and well‑being."
