Shift: Night 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:30)

Job Description

This position requires previous permanent employees of any affiliated health system to be separated from the organization for a minimum of 3 months to qualify for a travel position. The role requires floating as needed.

Unit Information

General ICU Focus: Sepsis, post-cardiac arrest, IABP, COVID-19, respiratory failure, severe DKA, multi-system organ failure, CIWA, GI bleed, renal failure, and stroke.

• Utilization of Spacelabs telemetry monitors and Lifepack defibrillators.
• Management of IABPPA catheters and ventilators.

Required Certifications

• ACLS
• NIHSS
• TNCC (preferred)

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience required.
• Charge experience: 1.5 years preferred.
• Patient ratio experience and charting system experience required.
• Travel experience is an advantage.

Essential Skills

• Ability to interpret dysrhythmias and manage them effectively.
• Experience in managing patients with multi-system organ dysfunction/failure.
• Arterial line management and central line care/management.
• Administration of continuous IV sedation and titration of cardiac and vasoactive drips.
• Experience in BiPAP/CPAP management and care of ventilated patients.
• Ability to interpret arterial blood gases (ABGs) and perform suctioning (ETT, NT).
• Knowledge of isolation precautions and PPE protocols.

Facility Details

Patient Age Groups: Adults, Geriatrics

Number of Beds: 13

Interdisciplinary Support: Includes physical therapy, respiratory services, social services, radiology, rapid response teams, and pharmacy.

Additional Information

• Travelers may be expected to float between nearby sister facilities.
• Refusal to float may impact contract status.
• Client will provide necessary communication devices required for the assignment.
• Monthly cell phone bills, if applicable, need to be submitted for reimbursement.
