Metals Technologist
$23 - $25 per hourLabcorp
Labcorp seeks a Metals Technologist in Saint Paul to perform clinical laboratory testing on specimens, including extractions, analyses, and quality control. The role involves instrument maintenance, data evaluation, and adherence to standard operating procedures in a diagnostic laboratory setting.
Responsibilities
- Receive and evaluate specimens; determine testing priority and batch processing for timely turnaround
- Perform extractions and analysis on client, quality control, and proficiency samples per protocol
- Prepare laboratory reagents and standard solutions according to established procedures
- Maintain, calibrate, and troubleshoot laboratory instrumentation; perform routine maintenance checks
- Evaluate data for accuracy, correct errors, and maintain comprehensive laboratory records and logs
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Science, Biological Science, Clinical Laboratory Science, or Medical Technology
- 1+ year clinical laboratory testing experience or MLS degree
- Proficiency with computers and laboratory information systems
- Ability to pass standardized color blindness test
- ASCP or AMT certification (preferred)
- Prior Labcorp experience (preferred)
Compensation: $23.00-$25.00 per hour plus shift differential
