Chichester School District – Now Hiring Bus Aides!
Position Title: Bus Aide Department: Transportation
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist students in safely boarding and exiting the school bus.
- Ensure that students are seated and remain seated while the bus is in motion.
- Monitor student behavior and intervene when necessary to maintain a safe and orderly environment.
- Assist the driver with pre-trip and post-trip inspections as needed.
- Help with the loading and unloading of students, including those with special needs or mobility challenges.
- Communicate effectively with the bus driver, school staff, and parents regarding student concerns or incidents.
- Ensure that all required protective safety devices are in use and properly fastened.
- Demonstrate good moral character, reliability, and professionalism at all times.
