Make a real difference for students as a Special Education Teacher skilled in serving mild to moderate needs. This full-time contract position lets you leverage your expertise in a hybrid environment, spending 1-2 days a week on-site and primarily working virtually. Support students and families while enjoying autonomy over your caseload and schedule.

Key Qualifications:

• Active California Mild/Moderate Education Specialist teaching credential required
• Experience delivering Special Education services, ideally at the school level
• Strong organizational abilities for IEP preparation, paperwork, and planning
• Comfort with technology and virtual meetings; most IEPs conducted via Zoom
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Commitment to meeting each student’s individual needs

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide direct instruction to students with mild/moderate needs
• Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Collaborate with families and team members through weekly and monthly meetings (PLCs, staff meetings, SPED meetings)
• Host and facilitate your assigned homeroom
• Maintain accurate records, progress monitors, and compliance with all state and program requirements
• Set your own schedule based on caseload requirements, with direct services focused on Tuesday through Thursday and planning/responsibilities on Mondays and Fridays
