• Base Salary Range: $155,000.00 - $165,000.00 PLUS other allowances & benefits for total compensation.

Position Summary:

Kumon North America is seeking an experienced HR leader to serve as Assistant Vice President, HR Planning & Strategy. Reporting directly to the Senior Vice President, Human Resources & Learning, this role will lead workforce planning, talent acquisition, employee relations, organizational effectiveness, and HR business partnership activities across the United States and Canada. The AVP will partner closely with business leaders to develop workforce strategies, strengthen organizational capability, and ensure the organization attracts, develops, and retains talent necessary to achieve its goals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead workforce planning and organizational effectiveness initiatives.
• Oversee talent acquisition and recruitment strategy across North America.
• Provide leadership for employee relations and performance management programs.
• Lead and develop the HR Business Partner function.
• Partner with senior leaders on organizational and workforce challenges.
• Develop and implement strategic HR initiatives aligned with business objectives.
• Build HR team capability and leadership effectiveness.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred.
• 10+ years of progressive Human Resources leadership experience.
• Experience leading HR Business Partners and strategic HR functions.
• Strong employee relations, talent acquisition, workforce planning, and organizational development experience.
• Experience supporting multi-location organizations.
• Experience supporting both U.S. and Canadian operations strongly preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to influence leaders and drive organizational change.
• Strong business acumen, leadership, and relationship-building skills.
• Innovation Mindset: Artificial Intelligence (AI) experience using AI within HR practices.
