Better Living Psychotherapy Center is actively seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Mental Health Counselor to join our growing team. Work Environment

This role is fully remote, allowing you to support your clients from a comfortable and conducive working environment of your choice, while occasionally connecting with the team through virtual meetings. You will have access to our comprehensive electronic health record (EHR) system to manage client information effectively and securely. The unique remote setting enables flexibility and work-life balance while you apply your skills to support individuals from different backgrounds and with diverse mental health needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough assessments of clients’ mental health statuses through individual sessions, utilizing structured interviews and standardized assessment tools.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans that incorporate evidence-based therapeutic techniques to address specific issues such as anxiety, depression, substance use disorders, and eating disorders.
  • Engage in regular follow-up sessions, monitoring client progress while adapting therapy interventions to align with evolving needs.
  • Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, employing culturally responsive methodologies to promote inclusivity and encourage open dialogue.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as psychiatrists and medical doctors, to provide comprehensive care and referrals as necessary.
  • Document client interactions and update EHRs accurately to ensure continuity of care.
  • Participate in regular professional development workshops and team meetings to stay current with best practices in mental health counseling.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will work with a varied population, including adolescents and adults facing complex mental health issues. Our clients come from diverse backgrounds and present with unique challenges, including substance abuse, mood disorders, anxiety disorders, trauma, and relationship issues. Your role will be instrumental in helping clients gain insight, develop coping strategies, and achieve their therapeutic goals.

Qualifications

  • A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
  • Active and valid licensure as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of Georgia.
  • A minimum of four years of relevant clinical experience in a mental health setting.
  • Strong knowledge of mental health disorders and treatment methodologies, alongside a commitment to cultural competence in therapeutic practice.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience providing therapy for a diverse array of clients in various settings.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage crisis situations and provide appropriate interventions.
  • Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and other relevant technological tools.
  • Proven skills in building rapport and maintaining effective therapeutic relationships with clients.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this position ranges from $70,000 to $100,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications. In addition to competitive pay, we offer a comprehensive benefits package that includes:
