Shift: 07:00 AM – 07:30 PM (Day Shift)

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Medical/Surgical Registered Nurse to join our Cardiovascular Unit at a leading teaching hospital in Wichita, KS. This is a 38-bed unit specializing in med/surg cardiovascular care with telemetry monitoring.

Requirements

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct patient care in accordance with physician orders and evidence-based standards.

• Manage patients with cardiovascular conditions in a telemetry-monitored environment.

• Start IVs (IV team available for assistance).

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

• Utilize Cerner OneChart for all charting/documentation.

• Participate in floating between three affiliated hospitals and one rehab hospital as needed.

• Work every other weekend as part of rotation.

• Certifications Required:

  • BLS (Basic Life Support)

  • NIH Stroke Certification

  • MOAB (Management of Aggressive Behavior – Moderate Risk)

  • System Requirements:

    • Cerner OneChart (EMR)

    • Must pass Ascension onboarding, exams & skills checklists.
