RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

RN - Med Surg Tele

Job Details:

• Work in medical telemetry unit handling post catheterization patients and cardiac drips
• 12-hour shifts with 6:1 patient ratios for days, nights, and weekends
• 12 hours of orientation provided
• Weekend coverage required with every other holiday
• Float to other inpatient units as needed (agency staff pulled first)
• Care for adult and geriatric patients with diagnoses including chest pain, CAD, DM, PVD, COPD exacerbation, COVID+, TIA, stroke, hypertension, arrhythmias, and GI bleeds
• Perform pre and post angiogram/angioplasty care (no sheath pulls), PPM/AICD procedures, general surgical procedures
• Work with telemetry monitoring, chest tubes, PCAs, epidurals, and wound vacs
• Manage cardiac drips without titration for blood pressure
• Required certifications: BLS, telemetry experience, ability to interpret and manage dysrhythmias
• 2 years of acute care experience required
• Preferred certifications: ACLS, NIH
• Must be over 65 miles from facility (no local travelers accepted)
• Louisiana or compact license required upon submittal
• NURSYS reports required with profile (within 4 weeks of submission)
